Zooming beyond the minimum scale of ArcGISTiledMapService?

Is there a way to zoom beyond the minimum scale of an ArcGISTiledMapService?

I really like the ESRI World Terrain as a base layer, but it really limits how far you can zoom in.

Is there a way to zoom beyond it? In the JavaScript API, you can specify "Levels of Detail" to do this:

Is there a way to do this with the QT SDK?
