Is Mojo (a superset of Python) on ESRI’s radar?

I’ve seen some excitement (hype) about Mojo, which is a superset of Python being built by a company called Modular.

I believe the plan is for Mojo to fully support Python syntax, but be much faster than Python.

I don’t do much work with Python myself, but I imagine the dream would be to eventually use Mojo in ArcGIS Pro if Mojo ends up succeeding as being a faster version of Python.

I don’t think Mojo has even been released yet. But is it something Esri is aware of and is monitoring?
Is it in the realm of possibility that Mojo could be supported by ArcGIS at some point?

Use Mojo as ArcGIS Pro's geoprocessing language instead of Python

I suspect that current issues are more pressing like

  • python 12
  • numpy

NumPy 2.0 development status & announcements · Issue #24300 · numpy/numpy (github.com)

Mojo isn't going to help the vast majority of user since it isn't their target audience

Can you explain what you mean by "python 12"? I thought the current version was 3.x.

3. is often omitted to describe version ... we are currently using 9 with Pro
