How to generate precipitation time series from .nc4 files clipped to an extent through ArcPy script using ArcMap 10.6 tools?

I am attempting to obtain a timeseries from .nc4 (netCDF) files through a Python script ArcPy. Each file contains a grid of precipitation values representing one hour. I also need to clip the extent to a watershed area. I am having problems working with the .nc4 files as rasters. Does anyone have ex
