Hi all,

I'm trying to create a script that will buffer a line. I'm going to place this in a custom toolbox that I made up.

I have the beginning of a script, and when I chose the input when I created it, the dialog won't allow me to pick a data file. I would like to choose a .gdb (or a shapefile) line and create a buffer. What am I missing?

I've attached a screenshot of the dialog.

Thanks for any help.

isn't there 'FeatureClass' in the parameter properties section under Type?

@DanPatterson , it's been awhile since I've been on these boards. But, you're "still 'da man." Thanks again.

No problem... you should move into Pro, the layout is a lot easier to follow
