After running a model, the source of a feature set entry data is indicated as the following:

in_memory\{AB5D6552-C4CF-4542-B2AB-CAE3B0788C40}

what does this mean?

That's just the temporary feature "in_memory" for the feature set.

You are using the flags.lyr to set the schema (data type - polygon, line or point) and symbology.

Yes it should do.

I always tick the box "make paths relative" on these sort of tools.
