SQL query in Modelbuilder?

Hi!

I'm trying to apply a definition query to a bunch of shapefiles  (100s) in the same directory.

Been trying but can't get the Iterator to connect to the tool Select Layer by Attribute where I'm able to execute the query.

This has been my approach so far:

Have any ideas or know if I'm on the right path at least?

Try

1. Adding Make Feature Layer—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop​ . Connect the iterated shapefile to this tool, and connect the output layer to Select layer by attribute.

2. Also add Copy Features—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop​ to the end of the model if you want the selected features in separate shapefiles.
