I haven't started playing with any of the Runtime Quartz Betas yet, but I have been playing around with mobile map packages, specifically creating them in ArcGIS Pro and then reimporting them.  At this year's DevSummit, a lot of people were touting mobile map packages as replacing map packages.  The support for complex vector symbols seems to be there, which is a BIG improvement over existing Runtime content.  However, I'm seeing some gaps.  Specifically, annotation feature classes and raster datasets are not supported.  Yes, I can replace a raster dataset with a tile package.  But as much as I'm trying to get users away from annotation classes, the lack of support for them could seriously hurt the users' willingness to adopt mobile map packages in order to get away from local server.

I know that Esri is working hard on a utility network model that's compatible with mobile map packages.  Is there any effort planned to support annotation?
