Hello to all:

I would like to get some advice on which handheld GPS unit to purchase. My next project will involve the updating of bike trails for two local government agencies. What brand do you recommend? What factors do you recommend that I consider when purchasing a GPS unit?

Thanks,

Mel

Mel,

The GPSMap 62SC (or its newer brother 64S, I think)  is a great unit.

If you want to use one for kayak or other water sport as well the 78SC is more waterproof and floats (I have one and use it on my MTB as well - just a bit more bulky)

Need the "S" prefix as the SD card slot is invaluable.

Cheers,

Nick
