Our users want to #draw a polygon around a building and then add a #buffer for a setback distance. These are frequently used by our building department for consents and enforcement. They require the ability to have both the drawn polygon and buffer zone visible in the map. Currently the buffer functionality in the select tool removes the drawn polygon when it shows the results and only the buffer is shown (along with the selected features).
Adding buffer functionality to the draw tool would be really useful.
Thanks Helen - Yes so right now we only have buffering capability for the select tool, but this is a good suggestion we think would be pretty applicable to other LM users. We can add that to the enhancements pool to look at for future versions.
Hi @HelenRoulston_SelwynDC just closing off some items in here as this has implemented into LocalMaps so you will be able to see the buffer and drawn polygon. Hopefully that is what you were after! If so, you can hit resolved on this comment!
Thanks, I will let the teams here know. What version of LocalMaps will that be available in?
Hi @HelenRoulston_SelwynDC that was implemented in version available in 2.2 and is available in the subsequent versions (2.3 and 2.3.1). I have added a video for you just to check this is the functionality you were referring to?
That is exactly what we were after. Thanks!
