We would like to know if there is a way to consume globe services in Web application instaed of having to view in ArcGIS Explorer supposedly a light weight application in Arc products.
We would like to view the globe service and not imageries in the web applications. The Web and Mobile Application Developer Frameworks (ADFs) for ArcGIS Server does seem to have control to consume globe services.

Globe services are accessible through RESTful Web applications, but only for analysis in browser-based Web applications. For visualizing/displaying 3D information on globes, the only clients are ArcGIS Desktop (ArcGlobe/ArcScene) and ArcGIS Explorer Desktop. You may also be interested in looking at the CityEngine product. Apps developed with the Web APIs or the now-deprecated ADFs are not capable of displaying and interacting with 3D globes. I hope this is helpful.
