This position will assist the Asset Management/GIS Group with GIS and Asset Management projects. Duties may include editing and maintaining GIS data using GIS Software, reading and extracting data from record drawings, field work, creating and updating maps, publishing map services, and supporting the asset management systems. Preferred Qualifications: Students who have experience with Esri ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro and/or Portal or ArcGIS Online. Would prefer students who have taken 1-2 classes in GIS. Additional Information: Primarily looking for applicants to work a Monday through Friday, 40-hour work week. A reduced work schedule (fewer than 40 hours/week) may be available for students taking classes during the period of employment and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. These internships are 40 hours/week, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise noted, and located onsite in Martinez. These temporary positions are a six-month commitment, starting in December 2024/January 2025 and ending in June/July 2025. To be eligible, you must possess a valid California Driver's License and have a satisfactory driving record. The positions also require you to be a current student with junior or senior standing, or to have graduated within the past 12 months. These assignments provide an opportunity for students to apply their academic preparation to practical work experience in a wastewater utility environment.
