Salary: $68,816.80 - $75,698.48 per year. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Performs experienced and skilled professional Geospatial analysis and software development to support the needs of multiple County departments. Employees in this class work independently on special projects and may supervise other personnel related to the completion of assigned tasks.
Work location: In person. Not a full-time remote position.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field PLUS three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Technology. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have experience with the following:
- GIS concepts and best practices, in-depth data, and application development;
- maintaining and troubleshooting GIS Server and Image Server;
- Python and JavaScript programming skills, including creating/writing programs, testing, and execution in a workplace environment;
- Web AppBuilder, Web Experience, Experience Builder, ArcGIS Online and mobile applications, including Survey123 and Mobile Worker;
- analyzing and modifying ArcGIS Enterprise back-end configurations;
- ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal, and Data Store;
- ArcGIS API, ArcGIS REST API, and ArcGIS Arcade;
- creating and maintaining process improvement tools, including ArcGIS ModelBuilder and Dynamic Value tables for Attribute Assistant;
- creating, reviewing, and maintaining batch files for automation of repetitive GIS processes;
- handling data migration workflows;
- building efficient applications for multi-disciplinary department heads and their organizations, providing effective and timely project results;
- and creating technical documentation using excellent writing and verbal skills and the ability to have effective communication with peers.
Experience working with the following is preferred: SQL Server RDBMS Architecture and Maintenance; Monitor Server; ArcSDE and multi-level versioned data; ESRI Spatial Analyst; and Feature Manipulation Engine (FME). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
