Hello,

I have 52338 polygons which needs to be edited using the following rules;

The distance between the intersection point and the closest vertices on two  intersecting

polylines should be at least 1.2 meter as shown below. On the  other hand the distance

between two closest vertices should not be less than 2 meters. What I'm trying to do is

automatically calculate  the optimum angle angle between two polylines to meet the given

two rules as I explained above.

ArcGIS Desktop doesn't have such built-in tool to calculate the angle as far as I know.

Is there any tool or script that you could suggest ?  If there is no such solution it would

also be great, to select vertices which are  2 meters apart from the intersection point.

I will be grateful for any help you could provide.

Regards

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I'm working on a polygon layer. Does this tool also process polylines ?

Yes this tool was intended to process lines

Wes,

I just want to clarify that I should change `Roads` to my polyline in entire model, am I right ?

Just the first one with the little "p" next to it

Hello Wes,

I used the Find Angle tool several times and noticed something unusual. Could you let me know

If there is something that I missed? The attached screenshot shows all intersection points. Red points show

where the near angle is between 20 and 30 degrees. However, this tool also seems to select the intersection

points where the near angle between two polylines are not between these values. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Thank you.

Omur, I don't see the screen shot.

I'm sorry I forgot to attach the screenshot.intersection_points.jpg

Good Morning. I was wondering  have you had a chance to check the screenshot I posted yesterday.

I did not get a chance yesterday. I've looked at it this morning. I'll pull the model out this afternoon and run it and see if I see anything related.
