Don't understand how to batch process 100s of text files

I'm converting .txt files into rasters using the ascii to raster tool.

I have built it into a model which works fine. Now I'm trying to batch all the files in one go. I can't do it.

If I right click on the tool and click batch, I have to add each row one at a time. That makes no sense to me.

If the files are already loaded in arcgis as layers I can drag them into the batch window, but I'm unable to load these text files prior to processing.

How do I get a tool to run on 100s of files without having to laboriously enter each file as a new entry in the batch window? I haven't understood this at all. Thanks

Right click on your tool->batch->rigth click on one of your input values -> browse -> select multiple files as you normally do (SHIFT or CTRL) -  this works fine for one of your input values.

Hooray! I wonder why this is hidden in a right click? Not obvious at all. Thanks very much!!!
