Converting raster (cost paths) to polyline breaks paths into multiple parts

Hi,

I have created least cost paths and they are in raster format. When I convert them to polylines the paths break down to multiple parts. Can someone tell how I can keep the polyline paths same as the raster paths? Or combine the polyline parts to be equivalent to original raster paths.

I'm also interested in the path lengths but for some reason can't calculate the geometry in raster format. Layer and framework are projected so that shouldn't be the problem.
