Hi.
I've been using the CalulateAcres.dll script (http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=12307) all the way through version 10 on XP. Recently we've upgraded to 64 bit running on Win 7. For a reason unknown to me, I can no longer add that dll or others to ArcMap. Any ideas on getting around this issue?
I am not sure if it is Win 7, or 64bit issue.
Thanks in advance.

Hey,

You can use Calculate geometry to calculate Areas.
Right-click on your field table and click Calculate Geometry.
and before make sure that you have the right projection.

See this blog post: http://blogs.esri.com/Dev/blogs/geoprocessing/archive/2009/03/06/Tips-and-tricks-_2D00_-accessing-fe...

Since you want selected features to be calculated, just input a layer or table from the table of contents in ArcMap that has a selection -- only selected features/rows will be calculated.

Is there a way to calculate area through a toolbar button, without calculating a field in the attribute table? I also used the CalculateAreas.dll script and found it very useful, but cannot install it at Arc10.

I am interested in the same script that Jessica mentions.  I would like to find one that works in ArcGIS 10.
