You can set your feature to Record GPS metadata.  The fields ESRIGNSS_LATITUDE and

ESRIGNSS_LONGITUDE will contain lat/lon if you are collecting using GPS location.  If you click on the screen and select "Collect here" the fields will be left blank.

Alex,

  1. What kind of database are you using for this service? If you working on SDE you can have triggers in place which can calculate the XY in two different fields.
  2. You can also create a Python script with the Add XY Coordinates—Help | ArcGIS Desktop and execute the script using a Windows Task Scheduler. This method should work for all feature classes irrespective of the database.

I hope this helps!
