Hello,
I am developing the Geographic Information System for Leitchfield Utilities. I have already developed a data dictionary that is functioning, and has exclusive details that will benefit our utility group, but I am interested in seeing other utility groups data dictionaries in order to confirm that we are not leaving out any details or information that may be important in the long run of the utility group.
We manage water, natural gas, and waste water utilities, and I would like insight into all three if anyone would be willing to offer it. As I mentioned in the post before, we have a functioning dictionary, but I'm wanting to expand the information in the dictionary to cover anything I could possibly be overlooking that would be valuable to us in the future.
Thanks in advance,
Timothy Josh Duvall

Sorry, you would need at least a Standard license to edit the geometric networks. I can't emphasize how valuable these networks are with relation to connectivity and tracing.See this link ArcGIS Help 10.1 .
We use ESRIs LGIM data model to manage our water, sewer, and stormwater utilities. We also added a couple of fields GPSed - "Yes","NO",Surveyed" : Hydrant_Type-"Post","Standard" : MapSheet - Where to find the scanned drawings : Engineer-Who was Engineering firm on the drawings.
How do I download and install that data model? I found a link to download, but only includes a XML, HTML file, and an adobe acrobat file.
It says that I do not have permissions to access this resource?
Sorry i had to work through the steps so I could remember how to do it. If you already have the xml file create a new file geodatabase right click the new geodatabase select import xml workspace navigate to where you saved the xml file and select it also check the radio button for schema only then click next then click finish
You may also be interested in this site. It's a bunch of apps that work using the LGIM that can be easily configured to your data.
Apparently I cannot do the XML workspace document import due to only having ArcGIS for Desktop Basic. Do you know anyone that can generate a basic geodatabase with the LGIM and leave it blank so that I can edit it to our needs?
