Candidate Qualifications
A qualified candidate should be able to perform the following tasks:
- Apply and interpret fundamental spatial statistics (spatial distribution of the data).
- Configure/author advanced visualization techniques for maps and scenes.
- Describe how a geolocator works.
- Use network dataset to determine cost.
- Implement Python scripting using ArcPy.
- Author Arcade expressions.
- Perform advanced vector and raster analysis.
- Perform fundamentals of geodatabase design and operate within a multiuser geodatabase.
- Create, update, and delete features and attributes.
- Perform surface modeling and analysis.
- Create and edit ModelBuilder models to automate complex workflows.
- Create, manage, and troubleshoot a mosaic dataset.

Skills Measured
Candidates should use the exam content sections below as a checklist to identify gaps between their knowledge and the skills measured by the exam. The relative weight indicates the approximate size of each section. It is recommended that preparation be focused in areas where knowledge gaps are found.
Data Management 32%
- Given requirements for a specific project, determine how to design a geodatabase.
- Given a scenario, convert and aggregate data.
- Implement spatial and attribute data integrity best practices while editing.
- Configure geodatabase behaviors.
- Determine how to manage coordinate systems and projections.
Mapping and Visualization 20%
- Use advanced cartographic techniques in ArcGIS Pro.
- Select the appropriate data visualization technique.
- Determine how to configure, author, and optimize visualization products.
- Configure ArcGIS Pro for visualization efficiency.
Sharing and Collaboration 17%
- Given a scenario, determine the most effective process for sharing content.
- Given a scenario, identify procedures to create and share items.
- Describe the fundamentals of enabling collaborative workflows.
Analytics 31%
- Determine the use case for Python in ArcGIS Pro.
- Determine how to create and edit ModelBuilder models to automate workflows.
- Given a scenario, determine the workflow, data, tools, settings, and parameters to perform analysis.
- Identify procedures to conduct raster data analysis.
- Identify procedures to conduct vector data analysis.
