Does Validation capability shows up while publishing Electric Utility Network

Hi Folks,

I am trying to publish electric utility network within enterprise geodatabase from ArcGIS Pro 3.3 to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3. I am not able to find validation capability along with version management for publishing web layer.

I am using Electric UN sample data from ArcGIS solutions for Naperville region.

Any kinds of insight would be highly appreciated.

Hi @Jessica_GISworker,

Look at the section "Publishing Feature Services" in the blog, Best Practices: Understanding the Differences Between Utility Network Maps

It calls out the layers you need to include in your publishing map along with the other requirements to display the Validation capability.

Thanks for sharing this question, Jessica — that’s a common issue when publishing the Electric Utility Network. As Mike mentioned, make sure your map includes all required layers (including the system and domain networks) before publishing. Also confirm that your Utility Network Service Capabilities in ArcGIS Enterprise are configured to support Validation — it won’t appear if the dataset or portal connection doesn’t meet those requirements.
