Hello,
I am trying to create a field that auto-populates upon creation of a feature that is not objectid or globalID. We take data in and out of SDE on a regular basis, so neither of those fields work. I would also like to use this field for a relationship class. We tried adding a self-populating field through SQL Server, but that does not seem to be working, and it seems to be an invalid field type in ArcGIS. We are using this in the collector app.
Second question...globalID might work, if you take a layer out of SDE, and put it back in, does it recognize the already existing globalID field, and keep them the same?
