I imported a KML file in arcgis, and I need to define each attribute.

Question: Where did you get the KML file? Can you ask the source of the data about it?

The KML specification probably has most of your answers.

altMode is probably altitudeMode; the other properties can be inferred from looking
at the source KML and the corresponding features (keeping in mind the 10-character
naming limitation of shapefiles).
