I have an sde view created using the sdetable command in a SQL ArcSDE 10.0 database.  If I upgrade the database to 10.1, will the view still hold?

It should (if it was working before upgrade), though generally speaking, it might
be better practice to drop and regenerate views with each ArcGIS upgrade.

Keep in mind that 'sdetable -o create view' was originally designed to function
with SDEBINARY and/or SDELOB storage geometry columns; best practice for
ST_GEOMETRY and other native geometry type is to use SQL to define the view,
then register the result with 'sdelayer -o register' (Note: the spatial reference
[-R] parameter is *not* optional at 10.1) or use the 10.1 Register with Geodatabase
tool.
