Splitting multiple lines at a specified distance

Hello!
What i got is a shapefile with thousands of roads which i want to split at a specified distance.
How can i manage that?
The split function in the editor toolbar can only split one road not more.

How can I split MULTIPLE lines at a specified distance?

Do your lines need to be split at regular intervals?  For example, all of them need to be split in mile intervals?

One workaround is to merge all lines into a single multi-geometry, then use the split tool as per usual.
