I want to split my raster dataset into say 20 different tiles from the equator (latitude 0) to the poles (latitude pi/2) , where each tile would have a width of pi/40 in the Northern hemisphere and pi/40 in the Southern hemisphere.
I have been able to use the "Split Raster" (Data Management) tool and split my raster into 20 tiles, but I don't know if there is a way to specify the latitudes at which I want my split to happen and also have information about what is the extent in terms of latitudes for each of my tiles. For the time being I have just chosen the option "Number of tiles" in the Split Methods option and specified the Y coordinate as 20 (X coordinate as 0).
Also, do I need to change the coordinate system since I am splitting the whole world into smaller parts?
