"Windows Installer" attempting to install AutoCAD Map

I am running AutoCAD Map 3D 2010 and ArcGIS 9.3.1.

When I start Arc, I get the following error box:
AutoCAD Map 3D 2010
"Please wait while Windows configures AutoCAD Map 3D 2010."

Then I need to hit cancel about three times before it will finally give up and let me into Arc. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
