I want to format my numbers in the legend to four decimal places with trailing zeros so that 0.0000 and 1.2569 will have the same length.  I did the following

Layer Properties - Fields - Name of Field - Number Format - Numeric - Number of Decimal Places (set to 4) - Pad with zeros.

The changes were reflected in the attribute table but not in the legend.  I understand that these changes are supposed to carry over to the lengend.  Any idea why they didn't?  Any work around?

Hi,
You need to change the symbology of the data.
Right click the layer -Properties-Symbology tab-quantities
here you have the ability to change the breaks between you symbology

hope this is helpful

Thank you so much for the reply!  What you said works for Quantities but not for Categories.  I used "Unique values, many fields".  When I right click on the data, there is no "Format Label" option available.  Also, I tried formatting the labels through the "Fields" tab.  The format was reflected in the attribute table but not in the legend.

Once again, thank you for your help.  It's greatly appreciated!
