I'm trying to create a large format (72"x 60") aerial map using ESRI online base map and reference map services. The map is going to show a five County area...so the aerial coverage is fairly large. When I load the layer file from either 'Bing' or 'Imagery' my computer tries, but then it freezes. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to make this work, or where to find decent imagery that is available for download that won't bog down my PC (which is typically capable of handling large files)?
