Delete failed: ???lock request conflicts with an established lock???

A layer owner is not able to delete it in an enterprise geodatabase as shown in the screenshots below:

, ,

The enterprise geodatabase accessed by the owner of the layer shows ???insufficient permissions??? as the ???disconnect user??? is selected

,

What might be the issue here? How the owner can???t delete what he\she owns?

Thank you

Best

it seems you have orphan connection. either close your ArcCatalog and try again, or check the connection lock using "sde" user geodatabase administrator GUI.

In general,

? how the SA can delete a layer considering that he\she is not the owner?

? How to disallow users to add feature classes to the database?

Best

Hi,

SA user in sql server is a powerfull user so the user can drop any database object.

to disallow users to create feature classes, the user connecting the geodatabase should not have the "create table" privilege.

Many thanks Emad,

Unchecking the ??create table? disallow a user to create feature class.

What is missing on permissions is that the admin can??t disallow a user to be able to export a particular feature class.
