Deadlock on SDE MS SQL Server - ESRI 10.9.1

I'm having a problem with deadlock error code 17000, and with the following 

"Error: DBMS deadlock victim [[Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server][SQL Server]Transaction (Process..."

 

I found a thread from 2014 where this was a continual problem, but not sure, if that information is relevant.  Any help would be appreciated.
