We've been creating feature classes in new Enterprise GIS based on DB2 database. The new feature classes are created based on importing/loading data from the existing feature classes on different database. We encountered a problem with data loading when we imported a feature class with two fields set as double with precision 31 and scale 8 in the old environment, but updated the precision and scale to 9 and 5 respectively in the new environment. We get the consistent error and can't load the data.
Underlying DBMS error [[IBM][CLI Driver]CLI0111E Numeric value out of range. SQLSTATE=22003::22003]
Any thoughts please?
Hi Natalie,
Is it possible that the old field has some numbers that are "outside" the precision 9 and scale 5 settings for the new geodatabase field?
Is the old geodatabase on DB2 also?
What version are the enterprise geodatabases? (old and new)
George,
Thanks for your reply!
Both databases are db2. Arcgis is 10.1.
I am not sure about numbers with precision outside 9, but I was able to load the same feature class in my personal geodatabase on the same db2 tables space without a problem. But can't copy it or load it...
