If I have a File gdb feature class in ARCMap, then remove it, then go to delete or rename it in ARCCatalog, I get an error.
If this is not just my own failure to change some arcane setting, then it is a fundamental flaw in the functionality of the File gdb. I need to clean up my geodatabase, or rename something, many times a day. I like the functionality of the new fgdb, and I use the Default fgdb function on every map document, but if I have to close ARCMap every time I need to change a name or delete a feature class, then it is a net loss of time and increase of stress.
Anyone know if there is something I can do to avoid this hair-graying ARCfail?
