Cannot View Analysis Results of Mosaic Dataset

ArcGIS Desktop 10.2

I added a mosaic dataset (10.2 File Geodatabase) to ArcMap and ran the Analyze Mosaic Dataset process by right clicking the mosaic dataset in the table of contents. The analysis completed, but the prepare window did not appear showing the results.  The option to View Analysis Results is greyed out.  I tried to rerun the Analyze Mosaic Dataset process, but get an error 9999999 "Table already exists".  So I can't rerun the analysis, and I can't view the results from the analysis.  What do I do?  Where does this Prepare table live and how do I access it?  I tried closing ArcMap and starting a new session, adding the mosaic dataset, but still the same error and not able to see the analysis results.

I too am having this same issue on a 10.2 mosaic dataset within a file geodatabase.  Where is this table so I can delete it and create new analysis results?  If I get to this solution of this issue I will post it here.

Thanks,

Richard

So as a workaround I ran a synchronize on the mosaic dataset so the Analyze Mosaic Dataset results would become obsolete.  Then I re-ran the Analyze mosaic dataset for the layer in the TOC and it works.  Is this a glitch?  Maybe not, but I have not been able to
documentation pointing to the location of the Analysis Results Table.

Thanks,

Richard

Nevermind, its not a good workaround.

I contacted ESRI tech support on this issue.  They said the problem may be because I did not build footprints after I loaded rasters to the mosaic dataset.  I thought you didn't need to build footprints if your data did not have No Data areas, but according to ESRI, you ALWAYS need to build footprints after loading rasters no matter what your data looks like.  So their solution was to redo the mosaic dataset.  My mosaic dataset was 1.15TB, not a small redo.  I did redo it and the analyze mosaic dataset worked....but the overviews failed and we couldn't get them to work.  So now I'm back at using the original mosaic dataset where the analyze dataset function does not work.  I decided I can live without the analyze function becuase the mosaic dataset works perfectly....other than that.

Hi Stephanie,

I just deleted my mosaic dataset and am going to create a new one.  It is possible that while updating the mosaic dataset with imagery the footprints were not created.  This would make sense.  I am putting together source mosaic datasets for 15 counties.  I was scraping imagery off of the NC Onemap server using the Split Raster Tool.  This created hundreds of thousands of .tiff images.  Some of them were corrupted during the download so I had to remove them and re-add the new healthy rasters.  I bet the footprints did not get created.  We will see how this goes.  Thank you for your response and advice.   I have been fighting a loosing battle with unprocessed and partial overviews for a while.
