Area Solar Radiation extraction issue

I used the spatial analyst tools>solar radiation>area solar radiation to get solar direct, diffuse, and global radiation calculations for two different days. Prior to this, i have created a 112,000 point-point shape file and the goal was to extract the radiation occurring at these points with the spatial analyst tools>extraction>extract values to points. However, the extraction returns values that make no sense to me. For instance, the value range of the radiation is 50-5600 WH/m2 yet the extraction returns values like: 116977643, 116839357...etc. I realize some would suggest using the points solar radiation tool for this, but it will not suit the overall purpose of my project and still need to do the extraction. Is this a conversion issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

One thing to double-check is the z-factor.  According to this

To get accurate results, the z units should be the same as the x,y ground units.
