I am trying to calculate the acreage in a polygon and the numbers I keep getting are 1/3 to 1/2 higher than they should be when calcalculating the area of a known polygon. Why do I keep getting higher readings? I am using OSIP tile data provided by the State of Ohio.
Thanks Dan. You were right. The projection was not the same. Once I was able to get all the layers on the same projection, the acreage calculation was spot on. Thanks for the help, Dan, I really appreciate it.
