A tool that can ??create replica? for both layers and tables,

It is very frustrating that the ??create replica? tool is only able to create replica for spatial data (feature classes) but the tables are left with no replication.

,

The other tool that is used to create replica for tables (non-spatial data) is ??create replica? command available in the ??distributed geodatabase? tool bar.

I??m wondering why there is no one single tool that can create replica for both tables (non-spatial data) and layers (spatial data) in one go.

I have previously raised this issue but couldn??t find a sophisticated solution.

Thank you

Jamal,

The "Create Replica" option in the Distributed Geodatabase toolbar is not specifically for tables and is used to replicate Spatial data as well. I'm not quite sure why you are unable to use that.

An overview of the Distributed Geodatabase toolset:
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//001700000013000000

The above link mentions that the "Create Replica" tool..
Creates a replica to a personal, file, or SDE geodatabase from a specified list of feature classes, layers, datasets, and/or tables in an ArcSDE geodatabase.

Also, here is another Forum discussion which you can have a look at:

Many thanks Asrujit for the help,

Correct. The ??create replica? available in the ??distributed geodatabase? tool bar can replicate both layers and tables. The issue here that this tool can??t be integrated into a model since it is not available as geoprocessing tool.

Jamal,

Yes, that's true. The second part of my initial post helps in that regard.

To add a lil more......the information that I provided is mentioned in the below ESRI Web Help as well:

Create Replica (Data Management):
http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//001700000016000000

Under Usage, the 7th point discusses about tables while creating replica.
