I would like, that the users can only upload pictures in a specific extent of the map. Is it possible to define an extent (eg with a shape) to do this?

Thank you!

Thank you Owen for your considering this in future releases.

There are several different cases to use such a feature:

- State bounderies or other defined regions (as mentioned by you)

- Map extent (also mentioned by you) - to draw an area would be also a nice idea

- Along a line with a buffer > concrete example: In a large European project along the whole Danube river (2800 km) certain activities should be documented every 10 km with photos and text. However, the upload should only be possible in a determined area on the left and right side of the river > http://arcg.is/2ask39g

So if it would be possible to use a polygon all these use cases would be covered (also lines or points with a buffer)

Hi Doris,

Thanks for your suggestion. We are already considering this feature for a future release.

Can you please let us know some details of how you'd want this feature to work? Would you like to draw an area, select a feature (like a state boundary) or just limit the area to your current map extent?

If you wanted to do this now you could configure your story to review contributions before they appear on the map and then reject any that are outside your area of interest.
