...I can insert videos & images but the Story Map app does not let me insert a web page. Help! Thank you.

Issue resolved. I can only insert secure (https) url's, otherwise I need to require those with whom I've shared my story map, to tell their browsers to allow unauthenticated scripts and/or unsecured content.
Since it's my own website that I wish to insert, I'll need to obtain an SSL certificate.
Same deal. We need to know which Esri Story Map app you are using in order to help. Also, post links to the web page you are trying to insert.

Thank you for your help Rupert!
Here's the link to my Story Map Journal
http://arcg.is/1K3gtxn
On section 3 (page 3) of story, I've used both the "embed code" function
(in the main stage area) and I've also simply inserted the same web page
using the url (in the side panel). The website doesn't show-up in either
the side panel or the main stage area -- either in edit or view modes.
Again, this is just a smple demo I've created to teach myself the technolog
y.
your help is appreciated!

I've deleted that story map & created a new one using, again, the map
journal template. Here's the link...

I'm using only one section, the home page. I've again inserted a web page
and, again, it's not showing. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

It's pretty straightforward, can't imagine much going wrong.
Are you using the URL field? Have you tested a simple URL like www.google.com ?
What happends after you have entered a section title and URL and click configure / next - any errors?
Are you using any pop-up or javascript blockers?
I agree. It seems very simply and fairly technical.
I've entered both the url and embeded the source using iframe tags. There
is no error message. The website simply fails to show-up in either edit or
view modes. It's as though I never entered anything. No pop-ups, etc. And,
yes, I've tried it with simply domains like cnn.com. I've even created a
new story map journal with only one section to retest...

same problem -- it's as though I never entered anything.

oops, I meant "I'm" fairly technical. Adding a url is not technical at all.

OK, you're javascript blocker comment set me a path where I figured out the issue...
I'm not using any such blockers. However, all of my tested browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox) were blocking the websites from loading inside the story app because they were claiming that it was "unauthenticated scripts" or "insecure content". With two clicks, I was able to allow the content thus fixing the problem. However....
This begs another question...
How can "authenticate" this content such that I can share the story map with others, without them having the same problem that I had?
Since it's my own website that I wish to insert, I'll need to obtain an SSL certificate. Issue resolved. Thanks for pointing me in right direction.
