Hopefully I'm in the right place, and furthermore this is a problem with a simple solution.
I've taken data using a Trimble Juno, straight into ArcPad software. When the points and their attributes were checked in to ArcMap, overlying points are spreading in a grid-like formation, while their actual coordinates are more or less exactly the same. Straight-line distance between the displayed points in ArcMap are roughly 10 meters.
I need the points to display exactly as they were taken, but I'm having a terrible time figuring out how to do so. Is there something going on with the spatial index? Can anyone lead me in the right direction to resolving this issue?
I should add that these points are being used to estimate a minimum convex polygon (MCP), and that the spacing of these points in a grid-like fashion is making the MCP form to the spaced points, ultimately leading to an inaccurate MCP.
Thanks for any guidance.
