Domain Drop Downs arent Dropping Down

Created a feature class with 5 fields that are domains (tested in ArcGIS Desktop 10.1 and was able to see drop down when editing)

Exported layer in ArcGIS Desktop to shapefile

Went to folder where I exported to and grabbed the files and dragged onto folder on my ArcPad v 8.0

Added layer to map in ArcPad

Went to create a point and add attributes, but I was not seeing my domain drop downs

Help community please! I plan to go out in the field tmrw morning

Domain drop downs will not carry over from a geodatabase to shapefiles. In order to keep the drop downs intact you need to use the "Check in/out" process or customize your forms in ArcPad Studio. The easiest way is to use the "Check in/out" process in ArcMap using the "ArcPad Data Manager" extension.
