I am wondering if there is a way to add a warning to ArcPad if you accidentally hit the "Cancel" button on the Command Bar that says "Are you sure you want to cancel?"

I do not know how to write code but I do have some understanding of code and I know how to use ArcPad Studio at a basic level. We are running ArcPad 10.2 and our mobile units are Trimble Juno T41's and GeoXT 6000's.

Have you tried using the ArcPad Lock function??

The Lock function is located in the top-right-hand side of the ArcPad toolbars. If this is too small for you, the Lock function can be added to any toolbar. I like to add mine to the Favorites Toolbar. Use the Lock to stop your screen from accepting any input except for another tap on the Lock tool to unlock the screen.

I find this is especially useful for capturing line or polygon features with a streaming GPS. This way, I can switch on the GPS and walk/drive around the feature I am trying to capture without having to worry about accidentally pressing any of the buttons in ArcPad. It is also easy enough to toggle on and off when traveling between vertices to make sure I don't accidentally hit the Cancel button when I am part way through capturing a feature.

Hope this helps,

Hannah 🙂
