Hi,

Is there a way to disable editing for a specific layer?

I wish that from 4 layers I have in my apm, only one will be editable.

Marking the V off, in the "editing" column in the Table of Contents, does not help. I want that when I choose the pencil for starting editing, I will see only one layer to choose from.

Asaf.

Layers sent to ArcPad can be made read-only using the Get Data for ArcPad tool. In the Action tab, you have the option to set the action for all layers or for each individual layer. Choosing the later, you can then mark the layers that should not be editable as Background layer format.

Hi David,

I thought I tried it and it didn't help, but I probably had something wrong with my data. Now it indeed functions well.

Thank you.

It sounds like you did get this to work, so you may mark your question as answered, so that people like me don't continue looking at it to see if we can answer it.  Hahaha.  Yes, I am really that un-observant!   It has been a while since I have been on and this is the third time today I have looked at this one.  Great job guys!
