HI all,
I am running ArcPad10 on an HP211 with a bluetooth GPS.  The position information at the bottom of the screen when I am connected to the GPS shows elevation in engineering format instead of plain old numbers.  For example an elevation of 5,280 is shown as 5.28e 10^3.

How do I get this back to normal.

Thanks,
Pat

The actual format that is shown on the screen is 5.28e+003 ft.  Is the elevation showing properly on your screen?

Not sure what you got going on there but, try to tap on the elevation values you are getting and a menu may pop up with some other values to display.  Much like in the GPS postion window you can click on the values to pull a menu of additional values to read such as PDOP, VDOP EPE etc.

All of the other elevation units were in the same scientific notation.  I have a maintenance agreement with ESRI, and they told me to install the Service Pack 2.  I did that and it sort of fixed it.  Now the elevation is in normal format, but the 4 decimal places overwrite the adjacent coordinates so they are hard to read.  If I go to the additional screens, the Data tab truncates the left side of the elevation.  These are all bugs or incomplete testing glitches.
