HI all,
Service pack 2 for ARcPad is out and I had to go through a lot of hoops to get it to install. I had about 33 M of main storage memory, enough to handle the about 17M of the program, but the cab file ate up about 19 M so there was never enough room to install. I found out where the cab file is stored, so I can just copy the cab to the storage card and install from there.
C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\ArcPad10.0\CABs
What I did however, that also worked, was install it all to the IPAQ memory that was just sitting there doing nothing on my machine. It had 25 M, so the installation worked fine and the program is running fine, and now I have more Main memory storage available.
Lost most of a morning of fieldwork figuring this out.
