Pictures appearing green in ArcPad when utilizing the Windows Mobile Camera is a known issue within ArcPad. At this point in time, the ArcPad development team is working with Trimble to enhance the way that the integrated camera is utilized within ArcPad, such as the current inability to change the resolution of the picture.
CQ00312842: Pictures taken with the Windows Mobile Camera on a Trimble Juno appear solid green.
The following workaround has been found to produce proper pictures when utilizing the Windows Mobile Camera with a Trimble Juno.
1. Perform a factory reset on the Juno device. To do this, power down the Juno. While powered off, hold the two application buttons (horizontal line buttons) and power on the device. Continue to hold the application buttons until you see "Hive Clean" displayed on the screen. The device will power on and will be reset to factory settings.
2. Deploy ArcPad.
3. Start ArcPad > Create a quick project (defaults) > do not turn on the GPS.
4. By default, the ArcPad camera is used. Before ever taking a picture, go to the Main Tools toolbar > Options > Camera tab. Switch the camera from the ArcPad Camera to the Windows Mobile Camera.
5. Go to the Drawing Tools toolbar and select a new point > click on the map to add a new point.
6. Go to the Picture tab > click on the camera icon > take a new picture > click OK. Notice that the picture is taken correctly, it is not sold green.
After this, switching between the ArcPad and Windows Mobile Camera will always produce a normal picture when using the Windows Mobile Camera.
If the ArcPad Camera is used before you use the Windows Mobile Camera, the Windows Mobile Camera will always produce green pictures.
Hope this helps.
