Hi there,
ArcGIS uses two ways of label rendering: Standard Label Engine and the Maplex Label Engine. Both use the Map as central point of entrance to handle the labelling for all feature layers in the map. Is it possible to use different label engines which can work independently for a designated layer? This is of high interest when displaying dynamic data that changes frequently. The standard labelling causes a flicker effect for all labels in the entire map each time when one single layer gets refreshed.
I would appreciate if someone could provide a workaround for this problem!
