Many of ESRI's algorithm help pages list a reference or a white paper for the basis of the algorithm.
I have not been able to find one for the Elevation Void Fill function. The help pages say it's a combination of IDW and plane fitting, but I cannot find a reference for the plane fitting algorithm ESRI uses.
Does anyone have a reference for the the Elevation Void Fill function or the plane fitting algorithm?
