Hi all, I'm a relatively inexperienced ArcMap user (not a total beginner though). I have created a layer with a polygon on top of it to outline something I want. I've set the display thickness to 5 pixels which works well on the screen, at any zoom level. However when I export it to a PDF for distribution, and then zoom in on the PDF, the polygon's lines are now super-fat and obscure required detail around the edges... How can I set it so that the line thickness on the PDF export is just a normal moderate thickness? I couldn't find anything in the Export settings. Thanks very much!

In the properties of the Data Frame, on the General Tab, play with specifying a reference scale. This is what impacts symbology size when printing or exporting.
