Hi,

I work with ArcMap 10.8. I see there are environment setting under Geoprocessing, ArcToolbox and also within model builders. I normally set workspace, output coordinates, processing extent and raster analysis within the environments in model builders if i am using models.

But i am still unsure what is the purpose of three environments and which one overwrite the other setting if given differently in three places?

Thank you!

The first is general settings, the arctoolbox ones are ones that apply to it, However, if you set environments for a tool or model, those take precedence since they are the last set
