Hello,

I created a WFS-T Service via Mapserver Software "GeoServer" I tried to edit the layer in QGIS and it worked perfectly.

Now I want to edit the data in ArcMap 10.4 but it seems impossible. I can see the data but the software doesn't let me edit it. When I want to start the edit session ArcMap keeps saying someting likeThe Workspace with this data can't be edited

See attached files.

Is there any idea how I can edit WFS-T Layer in ArcMap? Do I have to change some preferences before?

Thanks in advance!

According to FAQ: Can ArcMap edit WMS, WFS, or GML layers? (esri.com)

Question

Can ArcMap edit WMS, WFS, or GML layers?

Answer

No. However, Web Feature Service (WFS) or Geography Markup Language (GML) layers can be saved to a shapefile or geodatabase, and these can be edited.

However, if you have license for Production Mapping for ArcGIS Desktop, this might just be possible. Data editing with WFS-T services—ArcMap | Documentation (arcgis.com)
